July had been crazy, quiet and melancholic. I don’t wanna think much about how grievingly my Shillong trip ended but would still love to recall every beautiful thing. I had a lot to say yet ironically never had a post in July.
This is series inspired by the better half of the month, the nowness of an abstract stillness and memory hues. Everything before everything happened.

Shot at Chandni Chowk, a market that was once divided by canals to reflect moonlight. Now there are just too many people staring at you.

This was my first Holi in Delhi and I chose not to step out of the house. People were throwing colours from one building to another, which was preceded by throwing water balloons since the past two days. We have a lot of children living in our colony, so that explains everything.
Holi, back home, in Imphal almost go on for a week. Locally termed as Yaosang, it is more or less like an occasion for hosting sports and cultural activities. Children would usually walk house to house collecting monetary donations or Nakadeng, dressed in colourful traditional attire. Young girls and boys  go for Thabal Chongba, (moonlit dance) which is descriptively a friendly way of meeting or checking out girls/boys from their locality.
I hope to go there someday.

This December, I celebrated Christmas with two of my friends and a few people I met at the Cathedral Sacred Heart in Delhi.

Ziro is known to be one of the oldest towns in Arunachal Pradesh, which is also the home for the Apatani people. Besides the mountains, rice farms and orchards, Arunachal has an ample number of helipads. This is one of them.
My friend says this is probably the only helipad in Ziro, which I guess is true and which is why the helipad usually becomes a football ground for most of the kids out there. Then with preferences, the football field would also temporarily turn into a cycling track or a grazing field for a lonely cow.
We preferred strolling and looking at the mountains.

Well, this Diwali, we decided to walk on the streets of the city and watch the fireworks. Fun.
It somewhat turned out to be a good idea. We almost got hit by a rocket. Missed me by few inches. Fun.
[Incase you are wondering what Diwali is, check here. Incase you already know, I hope that I put up more photographs later. Soon. Fun.]
Besides, wishing all, Happy Fireworks.

Baoli is a term for stepwell in hindi. The one I shot here is locally popular as ‘Agrasen ki Baoli‘ in Delhi. We went once and were late. I could just take around 30 photographs in abrupt 15 minutes with the security guards on the trail.
And with the few photographs I could manage to take, here is my first try at multi-perspective collage.
Hoping to try out more perpective shots of the Baoli, the next time I go a bit early.
