Aftermath of Holi
This was my first Holi in Delhi and I chose not to step out of the house. People were throwing colours from one building to another, which was preceded by throwing water balloons since the past two days. We have a lot of children living in our colony, so that explains everything.
Holi, back home, in Imphal almost go on for a week. Locally termed as Yaosang, it is more or less like an occasion for hosting sports and cultural activities. Children would usually walk house to house collecting monetary donations or Nakadeng, dressed in colourful traditional attire. Young girls and boys go for Thabal Chongba, (moonlit dance) which is descriptively a friendly way of meeting or checking out girls/boys from their locality.
I hope to go there someday.
